Play your part in choosing the New 7 Wonders of the World!

I hereby urge all you guys out there to cast your priceless vote for the New 7 Wonders of the World! Be part of the making of history by playing your part! Every vote counts! Results will be announced worldwide during the Official Declaration ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal on July 7th, 2007 --- 07.07.07 (exactly 10 days before my 20th birthday :P).

Please visit: New 7 Wonders

I've picked a total of 8 world wonders which I think are significant to the development of human civilization. I'm not sure about the maximum number we are allowed to choose. I'm just trying my luck on 8.

Here's my pick:
- The Eiffel Tower, Paris, France (one of the world's most recognized icons, once the world's tallest structure upon its completion in 1889, plus my all-time favourite :P)
- The Statue of Liberty, New York City, U.S.A. (world's most recognized statue, symbol of liberty and freedom, the first American structure to greet millions of immigrants upon reaching New York Harbour, icon of the American Dream)
- The Great Wall of China, China (world's largest and longest man-made structure, mankind's greatest feat of engineering, pride of all Chinese descendants)
- The Great Pyramids of Giza, Giza, Egypt (one of ancient world's greatest wonders, the only surviving structures from the original list of the 7 Wonders of the World)
- The Taj Mahal, Agra, India (modern history's finest architectural gem, the most romantic love monument ever built by a man for his beloved wife, marble wonder)
- Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (symbol of Christianity, Christ embraces the whole world with open arms which resembles the crucifix)
- Hagia Sophia, Istanbul, Turkey (world's largest and greatest cathedral for a millenium, the former seat of the Orthodox Patriarch of Constantinople, Byzantine Empire's greatest legacy, Ottoman Empire's greatest architectural inspiration)
- Angkor Wat, Angkor, Cambodia (world's largest religious structure, South East Asia's greatest architectural marvel)

I've planned to cast another vote by registering using my other email account. So guys, please keep voting for your favourite 7 Wonders of the World and show your full appreciation and love for mankind's greatest cultural achievements! Spread the words... You can make a difference!
